CAMEL RIDING

Camel riding is a true Moroccan experience.  Camels have been used for transport in Morocco for centuries and riding on top of one, you can imagine yourself in a caravan.  The ride is safe and secure, and you can enjoy the scenery around you.

So, take a break from the bustling city and head to the outskirts of town to an area known as the Palmeraie in Marrakesh or, if you are in the South, head to the Sahara.  There you can ride with your family and friends with a group of camels who are looked after and cared for.

The rides take a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 1 ½ hours.  No experience is necessary.  You will ride safely and slowly in a single line.  You can enjoy the beautiful venue, take pictures and even dress like a Tuareg.

COOKING CLASS

Moroccan cuisine is known for its diversity and is a blend of many cultures.  Over the centuries, with each wave of immigration, new foods, flavors, and ways of cooking were introduced. Would you like to try your hand at cooking a tangine or couscous in one of Morocco’s cooking classes?

Classes are held either in a riad or a private house.  You will have a chance to shop for ingredients in the market and then return for instruction by a master chef.  After a session of hands-on learning, you can enjoy what you created.

Let us know if you are interested in this, and we can schedule a class in any city that you like.  Classes are half day and are scheduled in the morning or the afternoon.

GOLFING

If you are a golfing enthusiast, plan an afternoon at one of Morocco’s many golf courses.  Some of the most beautiful golf courses are located outside the city of Marrakesh so you can also enjoy the views of the local vegetation and distant mountains.  Other golf courses are located in Casablanca, Rabat, and Agadir.

Let us know and we can arrange an afternoon of golfing fun.  You can play either 8 or 16 holes and golf carts are available.

QUAD BIKING

Quad biking is available on the outskirts of Marrakesh and in the Sahara Desert.  It is safe and supervised.  While this is an adventure sport, do remember that these vehicles are highly polluting and can cause damage to the local vegetation and the local wildlife.

Windsurfing

Morocco is an adventurous destination and home to some of the best windsurfing on the planet.  Strong Atlantic winds, temperate climate and an extensive coastline make Morocco an excellent destination for windsurfers.

If you are planning on visiting the coastal town of Essaouira and want to go windsurfing, we can get equipment for you and even arrange instruction.  Essaouira has a lengthy beach that curves around creating varied conditions.  From June to August, Essaouira’s reliable winds are at their strongest, reaching around 12 knots.  The conditions around Essaouira are good for both novice and experienced windsurfers.

Bicycling

Spend a morning on this fun and environmentally friendly activity and enjoy a true authentic bicycle experience.  Tour the city of Marrakesh with a local guide or even take a ride outside the city.  The bicycles are high quality and can be delivered to your address in Marrakesh or you can pick them up at various locations throughout the city.  The local guides are experienced and know the city routes to follow.
