Day 1 : Casablanca Airport to Casablanca

On your arrival at the airport, you will be met by your driver and tour guide who will drive you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, after a rest in your hotel and time permitting, your driver and tour guide will drive you to City Center where the architecture ranges from Art Deco to modern.

Walk through the Old Medina.  Enjoy coffee in one of the cafes and peruse the outdoor markets.

Head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Casablanca to Fez

After breakfast, take a tour of one of Casablanca’s most famous attractions, Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the largest in the world.

After lunch, your driver and tour guide will take you to the train station in Casablanca to board the train for Fez, the first Imperial City on the tour.

Fez is known as the spiritual and cultural capital of the country as well as a center for handicraft arts.

Upon arrival, your driver in Fez and tour guide will take you to your hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Guided tour of Fez

After breakfast, begin your Fez sightseeing tour from Fès –Jdid.  Visit the historical sites such as the Royal Palace, one of the oldest and largest in Morocco, the Mellah or Jewish Quarter which dates back to 1438 plus its venerable cemetery, and the landmark Marinid Tombs built during the Marinid Dynasty, known as the Golden Age.

Later, you will enter the winding, old walled city of Fez el Bali which was designated  a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.

The Old City, surrounded by an stone wall with 14 arched entrances, is active and bustling with business as well providing home to many Fassis.  It is car free and bicycle free and transportation is provided only by donkeys and mules.

Follow the narrow and oftentimes, steep alleyways and visit the magnificent Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and the Madrasa Al-Attarine.

Stop for lunch and then go back in time with a trip to the medieval University of Karaouiyne and the ancient leather tanneries to view the age-old process and the different colored vats used for dyeing.

At the end of the day, return to your hotel or riad to have dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 4 : Day Trip from Fez To Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Meknes

After breakfast, drive to Volubilis, which is considered to be one of the best preserved excavations in Northern Africa dating from the Roman Empire, and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This archeological site provides you an opportunity to explore a whole city of Roman ruins and ancient mosaic floors.

Then drive to the charming whitewashed city of Moulay Idriss, considered the holiest city in Morocco.

It was here that Moulay Idriss 1 arrived in 789, bringing with him the religion of Islam and starting a new dynasty.

Then head to Meknes, the second Imperial City on this tour as well as a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy a blend of cultural heritage and picturesque scenery.

There visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Bab Mansour Gate, the Bab Berdieyinne Mosque and more.

At the end of the day, relax with a Turkish bath (Hamman) and massage.

Head back to Fez to have dinner and get ready for the next adventure.

Day 5 : Fez to Marrakesh

After breakfast, your driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel or riad and take you to the train station to board a train to Marrakesh.

Marrakesh is the third Imperial City on this tour.  It has been a center for trade and culture for centuries and today, remains famous worldwide for its market places, also known as Souks.

Upon arrival, your driver in Marrakesh and tour guide will take you to your hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6 : Guided tour of Marrakesh

After having breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of the city.

Marrakech,  known as the jewel of Morocco or the ‘Red City’ due to the ochre hue of many of its buildings, is situated at the base of the Atlas Mountains.

The city is divided into the Old and the New.  Start your sightseeing tour in the Ville Nouveau and drive through the palm groves of La Palmeraie and on to the Majorelle Garden with its cobalt blue accents and exquisite landscaping.

Explore the Bahia Palace which was built in the 19th century for the Sultan’s 4 wives and 24 concubines.

Then on to Saadian Tombs, a beautiful royal burial ground.

Head towards the Old Town and visit the Koutobia Mosque. Enter the Old Walled City and walk toward Djeema el Fna Square, now a World Heritage site.

Stop for lunch at one of the cafes and watch the activity.  In the late afternoon, the Square livens up with dancers and musicians and at dusk, it is packed with food stalls, filling the air with spicy aromas.

Walk towards the area of the Souks which has been home to spice traders, metal craftsmen and woodworkers for centuries.

The shops of each group of artisans are clustered together in one area.  The Mellah, or Jewish Quarter, is located here and is of historical importance.

Return to your hotel or riad and in the evening and select the restaurant of your choice for dinner.

Day 7 : Day Trip from Marrakesh to Ourika Valley

After breakfast your driver and tour guide will pick you up and drive for approximately 35 miles (60 kilometers) to Ourika Valley.

Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the small rocky hills, green mountains and grazing sheep.

You will also have an opportunity to visit the small Berber villages, nestled into the mountains.

Have lunch by the river in the heart of Ourika Valley before heading to see the waterfalls of Setti Fatma.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 : Marrakesh to Casablanca

After breakfast, board the train for Casablanca.  Upon your arrival, your driver and tour guide will transfer you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, after a rest in your hotel, take a drive along the beachfront, also known as the Corniche, and if you missed it at the beginning of the tour, City Center and its world renowned architecture.

Then enjoy a ‘Farewell to Morocco’ dinner at Rick’s Cafe, a Casablanca landmark.

After dinner, return to your hotel for a final overnight stay.

Day 9 : Transfer to Casablanca Airport

After breakfast, your driver and tour guide will transfer you to the airport.
