Explore the history and culture of Morocco of the 4 Imperial cities of Morocco – Rabat, Fes, Meknes and Marrakesh – plus Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca in 10 days
Day 1: Casablanca Airport to Rabat
On your arrival at the airport, you will be met by your driver and tour guide who will drive you to your hotel in Rabat, the Capital of Morocco and a former Imperial City.
After some rest, enjoy your first dinner in Morocco and an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Guided Tour of Rabat
After breakfast, you will meet your tour guide and driver for a guided tour of Rabat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the historical Chellah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Medina (Old Town) and then go to the Museum Mohammed VI of Modern and Contemporary Art which opened in 2014. In the afternoon, make a stop at the Kasbah of the Udayas which is located on the river and where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city.
At the end of the tour, head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Rabat to Fes
After breakfast, you will take the highway to Fes, often referred to as the Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital and center for handicraft arts.
Upon your arrival, you will head to your hotel or riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Guided Tour of Fes
After breakfast, you will start your tour at the Royal Palace which is one of the oldest and largest in Morocco and then explore other major attractions such as The Mellah or Jewish Quarter. The drive to the Marinid Tombs which date back to the Marinid Dynasty for a view of the Old City.
Later, you will enter the winding, old walled city of Fes el Bali, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. Here you will visit the magnificent Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and the medieval University of Karaouiyne plus the leather tanneries which have been in use for 1000 years.
Return to your hotel or riad and have dinner at a restaurant of your choice.
Day 5: Trip from Fes to Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Meknes
After breakfast, you will head to Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers you an opportunity to enjoy a perfect blend of cultural heritage and picturesque scenery. You will explore a whole city of ancient temples and townhouses with old mosaic floors.
Afterwards, you will drive for approximately 20 minutes from Volubilis to the Holy City of Moulay Idriss. It was here that Moulay Idriss I arrived in 789, bringing with him the religion of Islam and starting a new dynasty.
The last destination will be Meknes, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historical Imperial City. It was established by Moulay Ismail in the 11th century.
During your visit, you will discover the major attractions of the city including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the Bab Mansour Gate plus the Bab Berdieyinne Mosque.
At the end of the day, relax with a Turkish bath (Hamman) and massage.
Then enjoy dinner in your hotel or riad and get ready for your trip the next day.
Day 6: Fes to Marrakesh
Today, you will drive to the former Imperial City of Marrakesh. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and stop for photos and scenic views along the way.
Upon your arrival, drive to your hotel or riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Guided Tour of Marrakesh
After having breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of the city, also known as the Red City. It is called the Red City due to the pervasive red color of the buildings.
See the former palaces of the Sultan which have been rebuilt and restored and are rich in history and cultural heritage.
enjoy all the festivities in the Djeema el Fna Square which is an open square in the center of the Medina.
Visit the Majorelle Gardens, an artist’s landscape, the Bahia Palace and more.
At the end of your tour, return to your hotel or riad and have dinner at the restaurant of your choice.
Day 8: Day Trip from Marrakesh to Ourika Valley
After breakfast, depart for a day trip to Ourika Valley and enjoy the breathtaking views of the small rocky hills, green mountains and grazing sheep.
Have lunch in the heart of Ourika Valley by the river before you head to see the waterfalls of Setti Fatma and observe the Berber lifestyle.
Return to your hotel or riad for dinner and overnight stay
Day 9: Marrakesh to Casablanca
After breakfast, you will take the highway to Casablanca, the largest and most progressive city in Morocco.
After a short rest in your hotel, visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the largest in the world. Then drive along the beachfront also known as the Corniche.
Enjoy a ‘Farewell to Morocco’ dinner at Rick’s Cafe, a famous landmark.
Return to your hotel for a final overnight stay.
Day 10: Transfer to Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, your driver and tour guide will transfer you to the airport, allowing plenty of time for your departing flight.
