Day 1 : Airport/ Port in Tangier
On your arrival in Tangier, either at the airport or seaport, you will be met by your driver and tour guide who will drive you to your hotel.
After some rest, take a guided tour to see Tangier’s main attractions – the Kasbah Museum and its beautiful garden, the Medina and more.
Enjoy dinner in your hotel and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Tanger to Chefchaouen
After breakfast, your driver and tour guide will meet you and drive you through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, a gorgeous mountain city known as the Blue City.
After some rest, take a stroll through the old Medina and through the cobbled streets and whitewashed alleyways. This city is painted in various shades of blue.
Visit the well-preserved Kasbah Museum which was a Sultan’s Palace and now displays the history of this city.
In the evening enjoy a dinner in the plaza of the Medina and then return back to your accommodations.
Day 3 : Chefchaouen to Fes
After breakfast, your tour guide and drive will meet you and drive you to Fes, a former Imperial City. Fes is known as Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual capital as well as a center for handicraft arts.
Upon your arrival, you will head to your hotel or riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Guided Tour of Fes
After breakfast, begin your Fes sightseeing tour from Fès –Jdid.
Visit the historical sites such as the Royal Palace, one of the oldest and largest in Morocco, the Mellah or Jewish Quarter, founded in 1438 and the first in Morocco and the landmark Marinid Tombs which date back to the Marinid Dynasty.
Later, enter the winding, old walled city of Fes el Bali, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
Here you will visit the historical sites such as the magnificent Moulay Idriss Mausoleum and the medieval University of Karaouiyne plus the leather tanneries which have been in use for 1000 years.
Return to your hotel or riad and enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice.
Day 5 : Trip from Fez to Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Meknes
After breakfast, head to Volubilis, one of the best-preserved excavations in Northern Africa dating from the Roman Empire. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You can explore the old townhouses and city square plus ancient artifacts such as old mosaic floors.
Then drive to the charming, whitewashed city of Moulay Idriss which is considered the holiest city in Morocco.
It was here that Moulay Idriss I arrived in 789, bringing with him the religion of Islam and starting a new dynasty.
The last destination will be Meknes, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former Imperial City.
It was established by Moulay Ismail in the 11th century. You will visit the major attractions of the city including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Bab Mansour Gate and the Bab Berdieyinne Mosque.
At the end of the day, relax with a Turkish bath (Hamman) and massage.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a restaurant of your choice and return to your hotel/riad for an overnight stay.
Day 6 : Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, depart Fes and drive to Merzouga through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The drive is spectacular and leads through forests, mountain villages and arid plains. There is an oasis in the south before you head into the desert. There will be many opportunities for picture taking.
Upon arrival, head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 : Guided Tour of Merzouga
Today, after breakfast, enjoy a tour of the village, the mud flats and the massive sand dunes. The largest dune is known as Erg Chebbi which rises 350 meters.
In the afternoon, after lunch, you will ride a camel to your tent in the desert to watch the sunset setting behind the massive dunes.
Relish a delicious fire-cooked dinner, and spend the night camping out under the stars.
Day 8 : Merzouga to Ouarzazate
After breakfast, you will watch the sunrise and have breakfast in your camp. Then ride a camel back. Your tour guide and driver will meet you and you will head to Ouarzazate.
Ouarzazate is considered to be the Hollywood of Morocco and a place to shoot a biblical film. Both Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator were filmed there.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Cinema plus one of Morocco’s most impressive monuments, Taourirt Kasbah.
In the evening, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 : Ouarzazate to Marrakesh
Today’s first destination is the Kasbah at Ait Benhaddou. It is well preserved and one of the most spectacular sights in the south of Morocco.
Then follow the winding and picturesque Tizi-n-Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Upon arrival, head to your hotel or riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 : Guided tour of Marrakesh
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of the city, also known as the Red City, due to the pervasive red color of the buildings.
Explore a number of historical palaces, museums and sites in the city, such as The Walled Medina of Marrakesh, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
See the former palaces of the Sultan which have been rebuilt and restored and are rich in history and cultural heritage.
Enjoy all the festivities in Djeema el Fna Square which is an open square in the center of the Medina.
Visit the Marjorelle Gardens, an artist’s landscape, the Bahia Palace and more.
At the end of the tour, return to your hotel or riad for a farewell dinner and final overnight stay.
